LINK Framework: The “Bottom Operating System” for Chinese B2B Enterprises Going Global”

What really troubles many Chinese B2B companies in the process of going global is not “not working hard enough”, but “the results are always unstable”.

The team is building, advertising is investing, exhibitions are participating, and content is continuously being produced, but the quality of leads has not improved significantly, and conversion efficiency is also not improving. The first reaction of most managers is usually a problem at the execution level: perhaps the materials are not localized enough, the budget is not enough, or the channel selection is wrong.

But after long-term observation, a more common fact is that the problem often lies not in individual actions, but in the overall structure.

The reason why many companies repeatedly try and make mistakes in their overseas marketing is not because they don't do anything, but because they don't have a systematic framework that can explain why they are effective and why they are ineffective. The result is that on the surface, every action is being pushed forward, but in reality, it does not bite back and forth. Resources are constantly invested, but the effect is difficult to accumulate.

This is also what we propose LINK Framework The reason.

What is the LINK framework?

The LINK framework is a structural model used for analyzing and building B2B marketing systems.

It focuses not on a specific channel, content, or advertising campaign, but on the entire process of how a customer goes from “not understanding”, to “generating demand”, and finally to “conversion”. In other words, it is not helping companies optimize local actions, but rather helping them determine whether their marketing systems match and support each other in key areas.

The four components of LINK

1. Language

Language is not just about whether the translation is accurate, but more importantly, whether your market truly understands what problem you are solving.

This step may seem fundamental, but it is precisely the most easily overlooked aspect for many teams. Enterprises are accustomed to expressing value using their familiar product logic and technical logic, but they have not reorganized information in the context of overseas customers“ problems. The result is often not ”the customer disagrees with you“, but ”the customer simply does not understand you accurately'.

When there is a deviation in the language layer, all subsequent advertising and sales actions will be affected because the market has not even established a problem definition.

2. Intent

Intention is not about how many people you reach, but whether the customers you reach are prepared to take action.

The problem with many overseas marketing projects is not that there is too little traffic, but rather that the nature of the traffic is incorrect. It seems that the data is not bad, but the people who actually enter the system do not have clear requirements or a real decision-making window. At this point, no matter how sales follow up or how content is supplemented, it is difficult to form effective conversions in the end.

What really matters is not whether there is exposure or not, but whether you recognize the stage change from browsing information to seeking solutions for customers.

3. Narrative

Narrative determines whether your information forms a coherent cognition at different stages.

B2B decision-making is never done in one go. Customers may first see a piece of content, read another article, then enter the official website, and finally contact sales. If each touchpoint is saying different things or expressing a constantly changing focus, what customers form is not trust, but chaos.

The role of narrative is not to make the words more beautiful, but to enable the market to form consistent, stable, and accumulative judgments about you at different touchpoints.

4. Dynamics

Kinetic energy focuses on whether your execution forms sustained optimization and growth.

Many companies do not lack mechanisms for executing actions, but rather mechanisms for continuously generating feedback, accumulating experience, and driving the next round of optimization. So marketing seems busy, but it always stays in a state of scattered promotion, changing content today, channels tomorrow, and budget the day after tomorrow, with a lot of pace and little accumulation.

Without momentum, marketing is difficult to transition from project-based promotion to systematic growth.

Why is structure more important than action

When marketing results are not ideal, the easiest thing for companies to do is to immediately adjust their actions: change platforms, change materials, change agents, and change budgets.

These adjustments are sometimes necessary, but if the underlying structure itself is not straightened out, optimization at the action level usually only brings short-term changes and cannot truly solve the problem. Because when any deviation occurs in the four stages of Language, Intent, Narrative, or Kinetics, the overall effect will be lowered.

Therefore,The unstable marketing effect is often not a problem of execution, but a problem of structure.

The value of the LINK framework lies in helping enterprises shift from “optimizing actions” to “optimizing systems”. It allows the team to move beyond surface level fluctuations in results and return to more critical judgments: which link went wrong, why the problem recurred, and which actions should not continue to be invested in.

What scenarios is the LINK framework typically used for

In the actual work of Lerui Huanlue, we usually use the LINK framework for the following three scenarios:

  • Marketing DiagnosisDetermine whether the current growth is hindered by cognitive, demand, information coherence, or execution momentum
  • Strategy DesignEstablish a clearer system path when entering overseas markets or adjusting market strategies
  • Team TrainingAssist internal teams in forming a unified judgment standard, rather than pushing forward based on individual experiences

If you are currently unable to accurately determine where the problem lies, LINK at least provides a clear way of judgment.

Its significance lies not in allowing enterprises to do more, but in enabling them to first see which actions are worth continuing, which actions should be stopped, and which results are actually determined by the structure from the beginning.
